Beth
Beth started to compete in junior handling after the arrival of our first Spanish Water Dog Burta. Beth has been given the opportunity to handle a number of different dogs including a Golden Retriever, Jonty who she has experienced some great success with. Recently Beth has had success showing her Lagotto Romagnolo Taddeo where they have achieved a number of Best Puppy In Breed as well as a Best Dog at a General Championship Show. We look forward to watching their progress continue to blossom over the next few years.
Beth has had great success in the handling ring and has taken a number of first placings at open and Ch shows. Beth handled Jonty to take 2nd in the Gundog JHA Semi-Finals. She has qualified for YKC Handling Finals held at Crufts 2016, 2017 & 2018. Beth won the JH 6-11 yrs at the Spanish Water Dog Club show in 2016 & 2017. Beth decided in 2016 to try handling a new breed so asked to borrow Skye (Bernese Mountain Dog) for National Working & Pastoral Breeds and the first time time they entered the ring together they took 1st in the JHA 6-11yrs semi qualifying them for the finals! She also took 4th in utility Semi-finals of the JHA With Xania (Eurasier) being the first handler to be placed with this breed at the semis. Charlotte
Charlotte has been competing at match nights since being very young as she wanted to copy what her older sister, Beth was doing. She seemed to really enjoy it taking many best handlers in match including being awarded Junior Handler of the Year at Yew Tree Canine Society 2016. She couldn’t compete at open shows until she turned 6 on 2nd Feb 2017 and has soon started following in her sisters footsteps with junior handling. At her first JHA class only 3 days after her birthday she won First place out of 5 in 6-11yrs age class at Merseyside Gundog Club. She has since taken multiple wins and high placings at championship and open shows.
